Bulk-making Covers

In preparation for exhibiting at Pet Palooza 2023, the inventor bulk-made lots of covers. The first round of removable leaf covers used metal grommets, but one of the goals with Leaf Tree’s design is to limit the variety of materials and parts used in its construction. In the spirit of this goal, we decided to use sewn button holes for this new set of covers. It takes slightly longer, but the final look is very natural.

In our ambition, we had to do some final button holes from our hotel near the convention center, thankfully there were some fun Halloween flicks to put on when we were working through them! Even Boo’s parent pitched in to make sure we had enough to cover most of the Leafs on the convention floor (we wanted to make sure we displayed some naked Leafs to show that was an option for assembly as well)
